UH... OH!

Whoops!
Whoops!

That "Not So Special" Gift

1. Heating pad

Your significant other may assume you are trying to substitute this for your warmth. Therefore, requiring you to convince her you really do love her.

Buying something you could put both your names on with love from Santa may lighten the mood.

2. Electric neck massager

Rather than you helping her with her pain and massaging her neck yourself. She may feel like you are avoiding her need to help her. This would end up being more of a pain in your neck, as you may find yourself convincing her you are not avoiding "wanting" to do this. Every time she uses the neck massager she may insist you were trying to cause her more pain, rather than help her.

3. Pillow

Throughout the whole next year she may be looking at with you with question in her eyes, with eyebrows raised, and will mumble under her breath, "A pillow?"

4. Not the exact gift she asked for!

Buying a gift that is what she wants, but not the "specified" item, might suggest to her that you grabbed the first thing you saw on the shelf just to buy it and get it over with. For example, an inexpensive digital camera instead of that high tech photography camera she asked for. You would be better off just buying something all together different.

5. Food processor

Women know that any way a man would buy this gift is because it is probably something he wants to use himself. Your significant other will be feeling like it wasn't a "personal" gift. Women are thinking about themselves at Christmas just like everyone else is, kitchen aides are one of the last things they are “wishing” for.

6. Money

A gift of money tells a women you simply don't care enough about her to figure out "in your heart" what she would like.

Try paying attention to the women things she touches in the store when you are with her, it may give you an idea of what she likes for herself.

Happy Shopping!
